Essubras is
the starting point for a variety of walking, cycling and driving tours
throughout the Charente Limousine. As well as lying close to the famous
national walking trail GR 48, from the Camp Site there are at least 19
other trails to choose from (from between 10 and 50 kilometres, level 2
– 3) for your walking or cycling enjoyment and discovery.

Like to come with a group?? Touring with your bike across the gently
sloping roads with their bends is an unique experience. Specially in
springtime when the surroundings are spectacular or in autum when all
trees have those magnificent colours.

Lacs Haut Charente:
are ideal for swimming, sunbathing, fishing, windsurfing, sailing,
canoeing and water bicycles.

Nearby the Camp
Site you can fish in a small lake.
But you can also
fish in rivers like the Vienne, Issoire or La Marchadine.
Fishing in the lakes is also usually permitted, but as most of them are
private, permission from the owners must first be obtained (ask at
reception for details to fish for a nice price at a nearby private lake) |

Canoeing
In
the Vienne there are possibilities for canoeing and kayaking.
You can go to Exideuil to Actif en Charente, to make trips over the
Vienne.
Snaking between granite rocks, hill and vale, the river is safe for
beginners.

Vélo rail
Is it a train? Is it
a bike? A cross between a train and a bicycle , the velo-rail, is an
original and exciting way to explore the countryside and landscapes of
the Charente at your own speed. Follow and old
railway line that winds its way through the high lands on the Charente
Limousine border, past viaducts, rivers and meadows and sail through
broom and gorse.

Tennis
For only
€ 5,-/day you can
play tennis on
the tennis court of Saint Christophe. (2,5 km)

Golf.
Playing Golf, you will certainly do in a
very relaxed way on probably one of the most beautifull golfcourses of
France at a distance of only 15 kilometers away from our complex, on
"Golf de Saint
Junien". Nice to try to practice playing golf or just fill all the
18 holes with your eyes closed. Also for a good meal for reasonable
prices your welcome on the Golfcourt.
You do'nt need to be member to play or
practise Golf. For just a small donation you can hire all the required
gear.

You will find more courses whitin a radius
of 40 km. For example in Mortemart (at a distance of only 7
km!) , where a course is laid out among hundred years old trees!. And in
and around Limoges and Angouleme. If you buy a golfpass, you can play each day on another court
for a reasonable price. (we can help you with it , if you want)

give different seances and therapies. They also give all kind of workshops for the body and the mind: Relaxation,

The former railway viaduct in Champagne
Mouton has become a home for climbing. Several ways corresponding to
different levels of difficulty have been installed. Supervised climbing
during the "active summer for all". Suitable for children aged 8 and
over.
